1) FALL FOLIAGE

Peepers come from all over the world to witness Western NC’s color show across 5,000 ft of elevation along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just about any weekend in October you can catch nature’s splendor rolling through the mountains. 2) SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK 

Montford Park Players host NC’s longest running Shakespeare Festival. The Players begin the “off-season” wih a new twist on Julius Caesar–with an all-female cast! This magical playhouse is located in the middle of Montford Park. A hidden Asheville jam that locals love. Showtimes are Fridays & Saturdays @ 7:30pm, Sundays @ 2:30 October 28 – November 13 at the Asheville Masonic Temple, 80 Broadway, AVL.

3) SIERRA NEVADA BREWHOUSE TOURS

Asheville is well becoming the place to be for beer and is getting the nickname  “Beer City 828″. Get hoppy and hands-on with the beer-making process at a Sierra Nevada Brewery. Must be 21 to tour; reservations are free, but required. 100 Sierra Nevada Way, Mills River. Stay for lunch, visit the gift shop, and take in some live music also. If you love beer, you will love this tour.

4) SATURDAY NIGHT LIGHTS GRAND PRIX FALL 2016 

Bring the whole family. Free parking and admission to entertainment, food, fun, music, and Venetian carousel rides along with horse jumping with the best riders in the country at the the Tryon International Equestrian Center. October 8, 15 ,22, & 29. Check out the Video. If you have never been to a horse show before, this is the one.

5) ART IN THE PARK FESTIVAL

Local and nationally known artists fill Pack Square Park for Asheville Art in the Park 2016 with a wide array of wares and art work from pottery and paintings to jewelry and clothing. Held in Downtown AVL October 1, 8, and 15, from 10 am – 5 pm.
